Argument with A Bengali

Hi

First before I start let make this clear. I do have some good Bengali Friends this article is not intent to hurt them. They are my friends first. For others I dont care! Now Take this.

Everyone loves their “Home town”. Like, I love punjab even though I have never stayed their long enough but still I love the place. People there are gracious, loving, hospitality is amazing (No other state can claim that I think.), we love food, love to party, can take a lot of drinks, somethings are genetically embedded in our DNA. But somethings I am not proud of like Female Infanticide and being biased at times.

Now let me come to my point there are something we can be proud of somethings we cant. And this Bengali that I met had got it all wrong.

Argument started something like this. I was talking to 2 other guys in the train, generally about How Bengal has not progressed at all in all these years. I telling them what my Dad’s Friend happen to say me that Bengal was No. 1 State because we can get food for Rs.10 even now! Now this Bengali heard me saying that. He got totally wild and started saying things which were no were related to topic.

My Argument was people where happy the way they are. They did not want to progress in their life. They were happy that they got food for Rs.10. My thinking is If today I have a shirt worth Rs.500 tomorrow I have to earn enough that I can buy a shirt worth Rs.1000. I would constantly want to improve my life. But people there have lost that will I think. I have been out of bengal from past 15years! Still when ever I go back to my hometown (Kharagpur) there is nothing there to do. Nothing at all. After Ages we got our first Shopping Mall. This was my part and where the argument started.

This is what that Bengali had to say.

1. Bengal is No.1 State in India. (Yeah! Right…)

2. World Trade Centre was Designed by Bengali (I dont know how that Helps bengal to progress.)

3. We dont kick people like you out of our state. Like they do in Maharashtra. (I dont even know. Why this point came and what it has got to do anything with the progress of Bengal. Infact they should be happy that we work!)

4. If we dont get food for Rs.10 what will poor people eat. (That Uncle I am talking about earns like in 7 figures. He is still not ready to shed something from his pocket. Plus this was just a metaphoric statement. What I ment was they dont want to improve.)

5. Bengal is No.1 state in Agriculture! (He forgot Punjab and Harayana)

6. People like us “Earn” from bengal and go to Punjab (This was his reasoning why Punjab is prospering.)

7. There is lot of Industrialization in Bengal. There are many companies coming to Bengal after Nano left. (This is the Joke of Century. I know 4 companies that Immediately pulled out after this. Jindal Cements, Jindal Steel, TCS, and Wipro)

8. Bengal is Improving more than Gujarat! (Another Joke that I laughed like hell)

9. Bengal Government is the Best.

10. Ganguly was thrown out of the team cause he was Bengali.

11. There is no Bengal Regiment in Army because everyone is afraid that Bengal might become most powerful state!!! (May be there is no Bengal Regiment cause they are Lazy!)

The last Argument really Blew me out. I was speech less and thought its waste to argue with this man. After that I took all the Crap he have to give about Bengal. Anyway Hope you enjoyed his Argument.

Why Kolkata Knight Riders Cant Win!

KKR is same team like anyother team in IPL. They have got some great players. Who are very good when playing for their country! But why cant they perform as a team. 

Here are some of my reasons.

1. Because its Bengal!

2. Because its Owned by SRK. Which mean too much Show off nothing in content!!! Same like his movies. Actually exactly like his movies. They are all bull shit. No story. They Sell just because SRK is there in it. Same thing in IPL. They did not even get to Semi Finals but KKR got hightest Profit than any other team.

3. Saurav Ganguly. He might be getting good runs. But I think there is something Negative about him because he did not get Captaincy in IPL.

4. Lot of Ego and too many Big Names in their teams.

5. Team Coach, John Buchanan must resign. He not Innovative enoght for this format of Game. This was proved by Sharne Warne and Sachin with their Captaincy.

6. Team is all about Show off and no work. All they do is Advertisments. I think KKR has highest number of Ads being Aired on TV.

Waste Bengal

Hi,

The story about Bengal is nothing short of some Bollywood story. Story about how a state that was known as a Jewel in India’s Crown has become a Burden to its own country. Bengal of British India was one of the most powerful states in India. An epicenter of all the freedom struggle and Industrial Development. It was the capital for many years. Place where Royals Britisher liked to stay. 

If you happen to go to Bengal  now, all you will see is Red flags, People marching “Dethe Hobae” (You have to give.). “Inqulab Zindabadth” .”Zindabadth” . It occurs to me that they are having freedom hangover, even after getting freedom 61 years back! Nothing has changed ever since.

I was born in Kharagpur. In last 24 years I dont think there has been any development at all. I was one of the lucky few from my home to come out of that Shit Hole. Even then when every I came back to home I expected some Improvement atleast a little bit. There was NONE! After ages we got our first Shopping Mall. Which is also half complete. They had been making this for past 5 years or so. I see some small towns build buildings faster than this.

You see every state is developing some way or other. Aleast they have some plan. Our leaders in Bengal dont even have that. There are strikes every now and then. First CPI(M) will keep strike then Trinamugal Congress will keep strike. If Central Government has done something why do they punish Bengal. They must go and do strike in Delhi front of Parliament. Why they keep strike in Bengal to make government to listen. I fail to understand. Dont they realise they are wasting time of their own people? What would a poor man eat that day if he goes for strike today ? Every second day there is one strike. Sometime I think they themselves dont know why they are doing strike. You see Farmers Small shop owners going for strike for N-Deal being signed between India and America. Do they even know what is N-Deal ? Do they even know where America is ? They just do what ever party tells them to do that’s all. I remember there was strike in Calcutta for increasing the Bus ticket price from 2.50 – 3. 0 or some thing. They increased price by .5 paisa!! And people went for strike. Aren’t they F**ken Ashamed of themselves ? finally government had to settle down by increasing by .10 paisa or something. This is true incident. I am sure if anyone follow news closely would remember this incident.There is another Fact about Kolkotta that I would like to share with you. Its the only metropolitan city where shops close at 1PM and open back at 4:30 PM. Cause people want to take rest. I am not talking about Retail shops or small pan valla shops everything. You would even find Medical Shops closed! One of my Dad’s friend once told me Bengal is best State in India because even today you could get Stomach Full meal for Rs10. I told him that is Bull Shit. That is why people are not progressing. If they are stisfied with what they have they will never progress. They must have some aim in their life. To grow. Become better. Live in Better place with Good Roads. More progress. But NO! They are just happy with what they are. Satisfied and Content. I feel sad going back to that shit hole place. Government has made people like this. Useless. Generation after Generation. And now they are incapable of doing anything. 

They are only proud of their past. If you ask them anything they will say Central Government is Ignoring them. They will Blame the entire world for what Bengal is now. I fail to notice that rest four fingers are pointing at them.

Grow up Bengal.
